We accept poetry submissions during our reading periods (February-April and September-November).* You may submit once per reading period. The editors at Nine Mile will attempt to respond within one month. Please review the guidelines before submitting your work.
*Note that this year, we will be reading for the Fall ’24 issue through the month of June.
Send us 3-5 poems in a single Word or text document. No PDFs, please. We also accept poetry in translation, poetry reviews, and essays on poetry.
If your work is accepted, we will ask for a biographical note, picture, and/or an aesthetic statement to introduce you to our readers.
We try to respond to all submissions within a month. If you haven’t heard from us, let us know.
